How to download Instagram videos and reels

IGSaver works in any modern browser, so there’s nothing to install. Follow these three steps on iPhone, Android or your computer.

    Copy the Instagram link

    Open the Instagram app or website and find the reel, video, story or photo you want. Tap the share icon (paper plane) or the ⋯ menu, then tap “Copy link”.

    Paste the link into IGSaver

    Come back to IGSaver and paste the link into the box on the home page. On mobile, tap the Paste button. The preview appears automatically.

    Choose a quality and download

    Pick MP4 HD for the best quality, MP4 SD for a smaller file, or Audio to keep only the sound. The file is saved straight to your device.

Where the file ends up

iPhone & iPad

Safari saves downloads to Files → Downloads. Open the file, tap Share, then “Save Video” to add it to Photos.

Android

Files are saved to the Downloads folder and show up in Google Photos or your gallery app automatically.

Windows & Mac

Files go to your browser’s Downloads folder. Use Ctrl+J (Windows) or ⌥⌘L (Mac) to open it.

Tips

  • Only public posts can be downloaded. If you see a “private” error, the account is private. If you follow the account and can see the post, try our private post downloader.
  • For carousel posts, the first item is downloaded.
  • Download links expire after about an hour. If one stops working, paste the post link again.
